Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
For me, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is a place to reconnect with nature and my photography. It's a transformative place that restores my love of the island and provides seemingly endless time and space to think. Traversing the varied landscape on the miles of hiking trails gets me thinking about the sheer force and unpredictability of nature. Volcanoes create and destroy, they disrupt people and nature and showcase these juxtapositions in such stark ways. Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is a special place and I feel incredibly lucky to have it nearby as a source of artistic inspiration and a place to disconnect and recharge by body and soul.
